Job Description
Position Summary The primary responsibility of the Priority Banking Teller is to service customers by delivering superb digital experience. A qualified candidate should have the ability to proactively engage in professional, positive, and productive communication with customers who are utilizing Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) at remote locations. Priority Banking Tellers will accurately and efficiently process a variety of financial inquiries, account deposits, loan payments and other various financial transactions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Be prepared for daily interactions with a professional mindset, a smile, warm voice tone, and an organized workstation, free of distractions. Properly identify customers as outlined in priority banking procedures. Process business and individual customer deposits via Teller Now. Place applicable holds on deposited items. Process cash withdrawals via Teller Now. Accepts checks for cashing or payment, verifies endorsement, validity, and funds, and makes changes. Process savings deposits via Teller Now. Pays withdrawals after verifying balance and signature. Process loan payments via Teller Now. Process transfers between accounts via Teller Now. Balance Processed Transactions at end of day. Product knowledge, product sales and product referrals are a requirement. Prepare customer notices for mailing. Assist with various operational duties as deemed necessary by Operations Management. Answer customer service calls via telephone. Assist the caller with requests or transfer to appropriate department. Always keeps sensitive information secure and maintains a high level of confidentiality for the bank and its customers. Answers customer questions, when necessary, always using the opportunities to cross-sell other bank services. Perform any duties requested by a supervisor or bank officer relating to the bank and its' functions. Ensures compliance with all Federal and State banking laws, regulations, and rules. Will be on Saturday rotation for Priority Banking. Great customer service is a priority; without customers the bank would not exist. All employees are respectful, not only their coworkers, but the bank's customers always, no matter which department they work in. Always maintain a high level of confidentiality. And, as directed, may perform other duties from time to time. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus. One year of previous banking or cash handling experience is preferred. Ability to perform over-the-counter customer services with attention to detail. Exercise accuracy, alertness, good judgment, courtesy, tact and patience. Knowledge of computers and the ability to maneuver through the teller system with confidence. Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills are a must.
