Job Description

Overview UNISCO seeks a hands-on Vice President of Accounting to lead global accounting operations across fulfillment and transportation businesses. This executive will drive accurate, timely financial operations, strengthen controls, improve cash performance, and lead AI-enabled automation. Reporting directly to the President & Chief Operating Officer, this is an AI-native accounting leadership role: the VP of Accounting is expected to personally use AI daily and hold the entire accounting organization to the same standard, treating automation of Pre-Audit, Billing, AR, AP, and reconciliations as a core mandate. Responsibilities Lead Pre-Audit, billing, invoicing, AR/collections, AP, GL, payroll oversight, and financial close. Improve DSO, billing accuracy, AP timeliness, and month-end close cycle time. Establish and enforce accounting controls, audit readiness, and compliance practices. Manage and develop a high-performing distributed accounting team across the U.S., Philippines, and China. Drive AI, RPA, and systems automation across transactional accounting workflows. Minimum Requirements Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including direct ownership of Controller-level functions (AP, GL, close, financial statements) Direct experience owning Billing/Invoicing and AR/Collections in a high-transaction-volume environment Proven experience managing a distributed or offshore back-office accounting team (Philippines and/or China experience strongly preferred) Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required Experience implementing AI-enabled accounting platforms, RPA, or workflow automation. Preferred Requirements 3PL, logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry experience strongly preferred CPA designation Experience leading offshore or distributed accounting teams, particularly in the Philippines and/or China. Experience with TMS/WMS-adjacent billing tools. Demonstrated success in high-volume transactional accounting environments.
