Client/Job Summary:

An international manufacturer is seeking a Controller to manage their financial operations. This individual will play a key role in overseeing accounting functions, working directly with the owner and cross-functionally with teams across the business, and providing strategic financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including AR, AP, general ledger, HR, and payroll. Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and budgets, and report financial performance to the owner and additional senior leaders. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including supply chain, sales, and marketing, and contribute to strategies and manage budgets. Manage financial reports and translate results into ROI and performance metrics to ownership. Ensure compliance with regulations and policies. Collaborate with external stakeholders, auditors, and tax advisors for audits and tax filings. Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and long-term planning.

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor's in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA preferred. 5+ years of experience in consumer packaged goods, manufacturing, or related industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Previously having worked closely with a CEO/owner is preferred. Understanding of inventory management, invoices, and finished goods. Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and managing budgets. Experience relaying financial analyses to ownership. This is more than a traditional bookkeeping role. You'll work directly with company ownership and senior leadership, take full ownership of accounting processes, and play a key role in driving the financial health of the business.
