Job Description

Company Overview Confidential Manufacturing Company is seeking an Assistant Controller to join its team in the city of La Mirada. This position is an Assistant Director level position and will report to the CFO. The candidate is responsible for overseeing the general accounting and financial reporting functions. He or she will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure that company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies and US GAAP. Oversee the general accounting function, which includes cost accounting analysis, cash management/forecasting, financial reporting, and balance sheet management. o Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected. o Assists in preparation & monitoring of budgets interfacing with internal functions o Provide concise and effective analysis of regular management reports to help guide the company to good decisions and profitability. Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. o Prepares income statements, monitors financial transactions, and oversees entries into accounting systems. Experience in analyzing business performance and developing financial plans and analysis. o Ensures that company financial records, are maintained in compliance with company policies and US GAAP. Responsible for supervising and reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure timely and accurate reporting. o Supports work relating to external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records. o Manages and complies with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings o Endeavors to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting. o Supervise & audit inventory valuation including finish goods, raw materials, work in progress, tooling and fixed assets. o Supervise cost and product costing analysis on a monthly basis o Supervise accounting staff relating to
AP/AR, GL
& costing
Requirements:
o 3+ years in a management role o 5+ years of overall combined accounting, costing and finance experience o Degree in Accounting (CPA preferred) o Experience in Metal manufacturing environment preferred o Experience in an Integrated ERP environment o Strong budgeting background o Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures o Experience with creating financial statements, and the month-end/year end close process o Strong communication skills

E-Verify Pay:
$110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
