  • Lead finance department, managing staff and representing the department to internal and external constituencies.
  • Stay up to date on non-profit audit best practices and state and federal law regarding non-profit operations; comply with all laws and regulations regarding financial functions and ensure the Organization is in legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
  • Ensure all financial reports and departments follow generally accepted accounting principles and all local, state, and federal government reporting/tax processes.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual tax returns and supporting paperwork with an outside CPA partner. Ensureaudit compliance throughout the year and work with external auditors on the annual audit.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, training, and monitoring systems to ensure all Finance activities are delivered per contract requirements.
  • Cultivate relationships with staff that inspire and motivate and communicate openly with all internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate internal and external audits
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements LS, February 2021
  • Manage cashflow in order to support organizational operations
  • Oversee grant budgeting, tracking, reporting, and compliance.
  • Ensure proper allocation and restriction of funds in accordance with donor and grantor requirements Qualifications Proven experience in finance directorship roles with extensive expertise in financial management and strategic planning.
Strong knowledge of
IFRS, IAS
standards, GAAP principles, and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards. Demonstrated ability in corporate finance, risk analysis, treasury management, cost management, and investment oversight. Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced Excel data analysis skills. Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing diverse finance teams effectively. Deep understanding of governmental accounting practices and non-profit accounting frameworks preferred. Excellent analytical skills for financial report writing, interpretation, profit & loss analysis, and industry-specific regulatory compliance. Ability to develop complex financial models for forecasting and scenario analysis to inform strategic decisions. Strong communication skills to articulate complex financial concepts clearly across organizational levels.
