Finance Position Summary The Area Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial operations, strategy, and performance of multiple locations. This role provides leadership, guidance, and oversight for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and compliance, ensuring alignment with corporate goals objectives. The Area Director of Finance partners closely with operations leaders to drive profitability, operational efficiency, and strategic growth. Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Planning Develop and execute financial strategies for the region in alignment with organizational goals. Lead the preparation of budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes. Analyze financial performance and provide insights to drive business decisions and profitability. Operational Oversight Supervise and mentor finance managers/accountants. Ensure consistent application of financial policies, procedures, and controls. Collaborate with operations leaders to optimize cost management, capital expenditures, and resource allocation. Financial Reporting & Compliance Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reporting to include monthly forecasts, monthly Financial Statements and annual Budgets. Maintain compliance with GAAP, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate audits, risk assessments, and internal controls reviews. Leadership & Collaboration Provide coaching and development opportunities for finance staff. Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve financial processes, systems, and performance metrics. Strategic Initiatives Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost optimization. Support mergers, acquisitions, or other strategic projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred). 8-12 years of progressive finance experience, including management experience in multi-site operations. Strong understanding of financial planning, analysis, reporting, and compliance. Experience leading finance teams and partnering with cross-functional leadership. Proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, Business Intelligent tools).
