Job Description

Job Overview A hydrid Manufacturing and Construction Controller manages day to day accounting, job costing and financial reporting. For a $20 million firm this hands on senior role bridges the gap between operations and finance-ensuring profitable project margins, accurate work in progress (WIP) tracking and strict budget to actual controls.
Key Responsibilies Job Costing and WIP Accounting:
Maintain accurate work in progress schedules, analyze labor, materials, and overhead to ensure construction bids and manufacturing production runs remain profitable.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare month end and year end close, monthly financial statements, and detailed variance analyses comparing actual cost to budgets.
Cash Flow management:
Monitor cash flow, project future liquidity, and manage accounts receivable/payable to optimize working capital.
Compliance and Auditing:
Oversee tax compliance, certified payroll, retainage tracking, and coordinate annual internal and external audits.
Operational Collaboration:
Partner with Project Managers and Plant Supervisors to reivew estimates, control cost on the factory floor and prevent budget overruns. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in
Accounting or Finance Eperience:
5-7 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years specifically in construction accounting or manufacturing finance.
Certifications:
CPA, CMA or CCIFP highly preferred.
Software Skills:
Proficiency with QuickBooks and job costing software. Core Competencies Understanding of manufacturing standard cost an construction revenue recognition (percentage of completion) Strong internal controls and risk asseesment abilities. Exceptional communication skills for liasising between field teams, factory managers, and the executive board.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
