Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Executive Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and steer the organization toward sustainable growth and fiscal excellence. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape financial strategies, oversee comprehensive accounting functions, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Duties Lead the development and execution of strategic financial plans aligned with organizational goals, ensuring robust fiscal management and sustainable growth. Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, balance sheet reconciliation, and cost control measures. Manage corporate finance activities such as budgeting, forecasting, financial projection model development, and investment analysis to support decision-making processes. Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, industry standards like GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IAS (International Accounting Standards), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, and industry-specific regulations. Supervise the preparation of accurate financial statements, reports, and interpretations for internal stakeholders and external regulators or auditors. Conduct risk analysis to identify potential financial vulnerabilities; develop risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with executive leadership. Oversee treasury management activities including cash flow analysis, banking relationships, and investment management to optimize liquidity and financial stability. Lead the finance team by fostering professional development, implementing efficient accounting systems, and promoting data analytics tools for enhanced financial insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business development initiatives, ensuring sound financial planning supports expansion efforts while maintaining fiscal discipline. Monitor industry trends in financial markets; adapt strategies accordingly to maximize opportunities for growth and innovation. Qualifications Extensive experience in finance leadership roles with a proven track record in financial management, strategic planning, and team supervision within complex organizations. Deep knowledge of accounting standards such as
GAAP, IAS, IFRS, ASC 606
revenue recognition standards, governmental accounting practices, non-profit accounting principles, and regulatory reporting requirements. Strong expertise in corporate accounting systems, Excel data analysis, financial software applications, and data analytics tools for comprehensive reporting and analysis. Demonstrated ability to develop financial models for projections, forecasts, risk assessment, and decision support. Excellent understanding of treasury management concepts including cash flow analysis and investment strategies. Skilled in risk management practices related to finance operations; capable of implementing effective controls to mitigate potential vulnerabilities. Exceptional leadership qualities with experience managing diverse finance teams; adept at strategic management and fostering a collaborative work environment. Superior communication skills for preparing clear financial reports; interpreting complex data; engaging with stakeholders at all levels effectively. Industry knowledge of evolving financial regulations; ability to adapt policies accordingly to ensure ongoing compliance. $120,000.00 - $132,000.00 per year
