As Controller you will concentrate on the day-to-day financial operations while developing long-term strategies. Provide insight into company finances and oversee operations of the Accounting Team. Work closely with the CEO to ensure the financial stability of the company. You understand the financials of the company in order to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state of the company in good standing. You are always learning and looking for opportunities for cost-reduction while influencing other departments to do the same.

Key Accountabilities:

Supervise reporting Accounting staff including performance, recognition and training Daily review of Bank Accounts Handle Accounting functions for 2 entities. Manage file storage for all financial records Administer all client letters of agreement, process all proposals and progress billings Administer Corporate Certificate of Insurance Policy compliance for clients Handles credit applications with vendors Handles all bank reconciliations, for all accounts, both entities Provide CPA with requested reports and documentation including quarterly and yearly financials, monthly sales tax calculations Prepares and submits 401k submissions along with annual census reporting Conduct monthly billing audits for all benefit plans including but not limited to Health Insurance, 401K, profit sharing Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines including staying up to date on new laws, regulations, and compliance standards Provide monthly financial reports to

CEO:

Projected Sales, Projected Cash Flow, Actual Sales, Actual Collections Competencies Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred 10+ years Accounting experience Knowledge of Interior Design or construction industry preferred Small business experience preferred Requires professional and effective speaking, listening and written communication skills to drive clarity and accuracy. Able to resolve concerns professionally and gracefully. Extremely detail-oriented with exceptional time management abilities Work effectively in a team environment, self-directed yet able to ask for help when necessary Dress the part of working in a design professional environment. Adherence to relevant health and safety protocols. Leadership Experience 5+ years Leadership/Supervisory role Strong organizational skills with ability to be flexible with workflow demands.
