Controller:

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in governmental accounting and financial management, with a keen ability to analyze and reconcile accounts. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization. Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to maintain accurate financial statements.
• Conduct thorough account reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Implement financial strategies that align with organizational goals, including forecasting future financial performance.
• Collaborate with public accounting firms for audits and ensure timely completion of all audit requirements.
• Utilize Sage software for efficient financial management and reporting.
• Provide leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Prepare detailed reports for senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and insights. Experience
• Proven experience in governmental accounting and public accounting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts, including balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency in using Sage or similar accounting software for effective financial management.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong communication skills to effectively present financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required; advanced certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.
