Chief Executive Officer About the Role Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology is a privately owned, physician-led dermatology practice serving patients across 13 locations throughout Georgia. As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and dependable Controller to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the practice. This is a hands-on role for someone who values accuracy, organization, strong financial controls, and providing leadership with reliable financial information. Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & General Ledger Maintain accurate financial records and oversee the general ledger. Complete account reconciliations and coordinate month-end and year-end closing. Work with outside accountants and tax professionals as needed. Accounts Payable & Cash Management Oversee accounts payable, vendor payments, and cash management. Review expenses for accuracy and appropriate approval. Monitor cash needs and identify unnecessary or duplicate expenses. Payroll Oversee employee and provider payroll, including production-based compensation. Review payroll for accuracy and coordinate compensation changes. Maintain appropriate confidentiality surrounding payroll and compensation. Financial Reporting Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports. Monitor financial performance, expenses, budgets, and significant variances. Provide leadership with useful financial information to support decision-making. Revenue Cycle & Accounts Receivable Oversight Partner with the Billing Manager to monitor accounts receivable and revenue-cycle performance. Review trends in collections, aging, write-offs, refunds, recoupments, and other key financial measures. Ensure collected revenue appropriately reconciles with financial records. Expense Management & Financial Controls Monitor organizational spending and identify opportunities for greater financial efficiency. Maintain appropriate financial controls and approval processes. Investigate unusual transactions or discrepancies and recommend process improvements. Compliance & Confidentiality Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company finances and compensation. Maintain appropriate financial records and documentation. Assist with audits, banking requirements, insurance requests, and other financial compliance matters. Qualifications Significant experience in accounting, controllership, bookkeeping, or financial management. Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks . Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail, organization, analytical ability, and discretion. Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with senior leadership. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Previous experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar role. Healthcare or multi-location business experience. Experience with ADP Workforce Now . Familiarity with healthcare revenue-cycle management and production-based provider compensation. CPA certification is welcomed but not required. The Person We Are Looking For The right Controller takes ownership of the numbers, notices when something does not make sense, and investigates issues before they become larger problems. This person should be comfortable moving between detailed accounting work and higher-level financial analysis while communicating financial information clearly to leadership. Ultimately, this person is a team player who wants to contribute to the positive culture of GSC. Compensation & Benefits Base salary of $70,000-$90,000 , depending on experience and qualifications. Schedule & Location This is a full-time, five-day-per-week, on-site position in Watkinsville, Georgia . Regular in-office presence is expected due to the financial responsibility, collaboration, and confidentiality associated with the position. $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
