Job Description
Previous experience in a therapy or medical setting is strongly preferred Activekidz & Adult Therapy's mission is to provide state of the art, compassionate therapy services for patients who have a variety of orthopedic, neurological, and developmental needs, with a focus on functional outcomes. Established in 2001, Activekidz & Adult Therapy is a privately owned clinic offering Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. Our multidisciplinary approach allows our therapists to work together to provide the most comprehensive care to our patients. Our therapists and support team join us from many different backgrounds and experiences, but share the gift of compassion that shine through their interactions with patients, their loved ones, and each other. Activekidz has an exciting opportunity to join our Watkinsville, GA team as an Office Administrator. In this role you will be responsible for the daily office operations of the clinic. The Patient Care Coordinator plays an important role in maintaining organized and consistent schedules for therapists while ensuring all necessary insurance authorizations are submitted accurately and in a timely manner. This position works closely with therapists, families, and insurance companies to coordinate appointments, manage patient information, and help prevent interruptions in therapy services due to scheduling or authorization issues.Responsibilities Include:
Coordinate closely with therapists to maintain patient schedules based on frequently changing therapist availability and clinic needs. Schedule new and existing patients as appointment openings become available. Submit insurance authorizations requests accurately and in a timely manner to help maintain a consistent schedule and prevent gaps in patient care. Monitor authorization status, expiration dates, and approved visits to help ensure patients remain authorized for continued services. Communicate with insurance companies as needed regarding authorizations, benefits, and patient coverage. Communicate professionally and effectively with patients, families, therapists, insurance companies, and other team members. Maintain an orderly, organized, and professional office workspace. Protect patient privacy and understand and maintain all HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements. Assist with other administrative duties as needed to support the efficient operation of the clinics. Requirements for thePatient Care Coordinator:
Previous experience in a therapy or medical setting is strongly preferred A high school diploma or GED Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of medical language and health insurance plans Familiarity with office technology such asGoogle Office Suite Job Type:
