Job Description

The Director of Finance is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for the overall financial management of the hotel. This role provides strategic financial guidance, ensures strong internal controls and compliance, and partners with leadership to drive profitability and operational success. Essential ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & Accounting Oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. Ensure accurate financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow reporting. Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with company, ownership, legal, and tax requirements. Manage audits and ensure timely resolution of findings. Safeguard hotel assets and monitor financial performance. Business Partnership & Strategy Serve as a strategic advisor to the Managing Director and Executive Team. Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency. Support business initiatives, pricing strategies, and long-term planning. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Cash Management & Capital Planning Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital. Oversee accounts receivable, credit policies, and purchasing controls. Develop and manage the annual capital plan and evaluate return on investment for major projects. Monitor capital expenditures and ensure proper financial oversight. Systems & Process Improvement Ensure the integrity of financial systems and reporting processes. Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and enhance financial reporting capabilities. Develop and maintain best practices in accounting and financial management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA, CMA, or hospitality finance certification preferred. 5+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably within luxury hospitality. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. Experience with hotel accounting systems and financial software.
