Lytle Signs Accounting Controller Job Summary Lytle Signs, Inc is an employee-owned company based in Twin Falls, Idaho. We are a full-service sign company that specializes in the manufacturing, installation and service of electric signage across the mountain west region. Additionally, we manufacture, ship and coordinate installation of signage for customers across the United States and Canada. Lytle Signs is actively seeking a proven accounting leader for the position of Controller. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an owner's mentality, strong interpersonal skills, and is responsible for leading the company's accounting team. Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Lead the accounting team to ensure accurate completion of all accounting functions.
  • Hire, lead, train, and mentor accounting team members.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving financial accounting systems, SOP's, and all related processes.
  • Produce accurate and timely monthly financial statements and key management reports. Lead monthly and annual accounting closing.
  • Partner with the leadership and manager teams to develop annual budgets. Then track results in relation to budget goals, sharing monthly/quarter results with leadership team/manager teams.
  • Interpret financial results and participate in strategy discussions.
  • Evaluate and maintain strong internal controls which protect company assets and support reliable financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal financial, payroll, tax, and reporting requirements. Collaborate with the HR Manager.
  • Hire, lead, train, and mentor the accounting and administrative team members.
  • Coordinate with external ESOP partners through all annual processes including company valuation.
  • Coordinate with outside tax, banking, insurance, benefit and other professional partners.
  • All other duties as assigned Duties/Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
  • Manages the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepares and reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develops, implements, and continuously improves accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Leads the annual budgeting process and assists with financial forecasting and planning.
  • Monitors cash flow and working capital to support operational and strategic objectives.
  • Conducts financial analysis and provides recommendations to the President regarding financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen financial controls.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support business growth and operational decision-making.
  • Maintains confidentiality of financial information and sensitive company data.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Power BI, and Business Central.
  • Appropriately leverage AI to enhance accounting functions and increase efficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization. Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of work experience serving in an accounting role is required.
  • Leadership experience including direct management of employee teams is required.
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and audit coordination is required.
  • CPA certification is not required.
  • Accounting experience in an ESOP company is a bonus. Physical Requirements
  • Travel to other branch locations, meetings and conferences is required from time to time.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and sitting at a desk. Position Details
  • Full-time, non-contract position.
  • Reports directly to the President.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
