Position Summary:
The Assistant Controller supports the Controller in managing organizational workflows, improving efficiency, and driving cross-department execution through process improvement and AI-enabled automation.

Northbrook, IL Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday on-site.
Compensation:
$90,000 - $110,000 Key Responsibilities Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, account reconciliations, audits, and financial controls to ensure accuracy and compliance. Develop and maintain financial dashboards, KPI reporting, variance analyses, and executive summaries to support decision-making. Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, standardization, and scalability within accounting operations. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial planning activities. Lead or support accounting-related projects, system implementations, integrations, and process enhancements. Develop and maintain accounting SOPs, documentation, and internal control procedures. Serve as the operational partner to the Controller, providing analytical support and executing strategic initiatives. AI & Automation Responsibilities Implement automated account reconciliation, exception reporting, and financial close workflows to reduce manual effort. Utilize AI tools to generate financial summaries, variance analyses, and executive-ready reporting packages. Develop automated dashboard reporting for cash flow, budget performance, and financial KPIs. Identify and deploy automation opportunities within accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and audit preparation processes.
