Flexan, an Ingersoll Rand business, is seeking a Multi-Site Plant Controller to oversee all financial activities of our Lincolnshire, IL and Chicago, IL sites. Reporting to the Finance Director - Flexan with a dotted line relationship to the Multi-site Operations Manager, this role will be a trusted finance business partner to help drive manufacturing cost efficiencies, revenue growth, margin expansion, and net working capital optimization. This is a high impact role to help set the financial tone of the sites. This is ideal for someone with a balance of accounting and finance capabilities, and an appetite to elevate analytics, streamline processes, and execute strategies. This role is highly collaborative in nature, requires excellent communication skills in both sharing of financial concepts and the grasping of both manufacturing or commercial imperatives. The successful candidate can roll up their sleeves but also think big-picture to drive transformative improvements. Operations Reporting:
Provide insightful analytical reporting that delivers context and implications of the financial results, trends, risks and opportunities. This includes understanding manufacturing results (productivity, scrap, PPV, spending trends), NWC (inventory, AP, AR), and capital investment analysisBusiness Partnership:
Develop and evaluate both tactical and strategic objectives, including customer/product sales, mix, and profitability analytics, new business quoting, and potential M&A integrationControl Environment:
Ensure strong financial controls and is pro-active in resolving current or future gaps. Establish and maintain a culture of compliance (revenue cut-off, reserves, safeguarding assets).Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop timely and accurate forecasts for the P&L and Balance Sheet. Assess risk and opportunities. Support standard cost process. Liaison toKey Stakeholders:
Facilitate timely response to various stakeholders, both internal (FP&A, controllership, AP, AR) and external (vendors, customers)System and Process Improvements:
Drive improvements to ERP configurations and automation through changes to internal processes and creation of dashboards.Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related Business Concentration7+ years experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment performing cost accounting and manufacturing variance analysis5+ yrs of ERP finance module experience, such as JDE, Oracle, SAP (IQMS preferred)Core Competencies:
MBA, CMA, CFA, CPA
certification.Compliance:
Experience with SOX compliance, audit engagements, and effective project management.Analytical Thinking:
Ability to interpret complex financial data, derive actionable insights, and summarize key messages simply to team members at all levelsProblem-Solving:
Proactively identifies issues and implements effective solutions with a passion for continuous improvementCollaboration:
