Controller Location:
Indianapolis, IN Compensation:
$125,000-$150,000 depending on experience About the Opportunity A growing construction contractor on the north side of Indianapolis is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting and financial operations. This position will partner closely with ownership and operations to drive profitability, cash flow, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger Manage job costing, WIP reporting, and project profitability analysis Prepare monthly financial statements and cash flow forecasts Lead budgeting, forecasting, and year-end audit/tax coordination Ensure compliance with construction accounting, insurance, and regulatory requirements Develop and maintain internal controls and financial processes Support leadership with financial insights and decision-making Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7+ years of accounting leadership experience in construction Strong understanding of job costing, WIP schedules, and project-based accounting Experience managing cash flow in a contractor environment Proficiency with construction ERP/accounting software #
