Job Description

Vice President Commercial Lending The Institution for Savings is seeking a Vice President of Commercial Lending who will be responsible for cultivating, underwriting and closing commercial loans, as well as maintaining and servicing a robust commercial loan portfolio. This person will report to and work closely with the Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending/Senior Commercial Lender.
Responsibilities:
Manages existing portfolio relationships and new loan production. Collects and analyzes financial and related data to determine general creditworthiness, including credit reports, background checks, reference checks and other information; as needed, submits applications to credit analysts for verifications and recommendations. Compiles loan packages and facilitates negotiation of loan structures with applicants. Recommends approval or declination of loans within established Bank policies and informs prospective borrower of decision; refers to loan committee for approval as appropriate. Ensures loan agreements are complete, and that loan closings and funding occurs in a timely manner. Identifies and develops new commercial loan relationships within the Bank's market. Promotes and cross-sells other Bank products and services as appropriate.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Self-motivated, proactive, and goal oriented. Utilizes strong organizational skills to perform and prioritize a high volume of tasks simultaneously. Consistently achieves goals and meets strict deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to context, substance and detail. Embraces the team-oriented culture and works collaboratively across the Bank to support the Bank's strategic growth plans.
Salary Range:
$150,000-$200,000 The salary range listed is just one component of the Bank's total compensation package. Other rewards include fully paid medical, dental and vision insurance, as well as dollar-for-dollar 401(k) match up to 10%; life insurance; disability plan; pension plan after 2 years of service; generous vacation and paid-time off; and quarterly incentive.
