CADA's mission is to provide safety and support to victims of domestic and sexual violence through advocacy, education, and shelter. JOB SUMMARY
The Finance and Administration Director is a member of the organization's Leadership Team and has primary responsibility for supporting the Executive Director with the financial management of the organization including : financial accounting, budgeting, payroll, and managing all financial , in-kind, human, and capital assets of the organization , as well as tax reporting and payments consistent with state and federal regulations and financial management best practices. The Finance and Administration Director provides supervision to CADA's Finance and Operations Coordinator , Maintenance position, and Administrative Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator. Additional responsibilities include oversight of facilities and IT management, as well as oversight of employee benefits administration . The Finance and Administration Director supports CADA's financial and administrative integrity to ensure the professional delivery of advocacy, education, parenting time, and shelter .
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead initiatives and develop strategies to integrate agency values and practices (i.e.: BRAVING) into the organizational culture and everyday operations. Facilitate regular training and development sessions for staff on agency values and practices, ensuring these principles are understood and applied in both internal and external interactions. Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the adherence to and effectiveness of agency values and practices within the organization, proposing and implementing improvements as needed. Collaborate with other departments to ensure that organizational values and practices are consistently reflected in program development, implementation, and client interactions. Foster a supportive and open work environment where all perspectives and backgrounds are valued and contribute to the organization's culture. Develop and mentor staff, encouraging professional growth, skill development, and continuous learning. Address performance issues promptly and constructively. Ensure efficient and effective program management, including planning, implementation, and evaluation, in alignment with organizational goals and standards. Promote collaboration and teamwork across departments, encouraging cross-functional initiatives and knowledge sharing. Manage resources effectively, including budgeting, staffing, and operational needs, ensuring optimal use of resources in pursuit of program objectives . Regularly communicate with upper management and other stakeholders, providing clear, concise updates on program developments and challenges. Directly supervise CADA's Finance and Administration Coordinator , Maintenance position, and Administrative Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator. Financial Oversight and Management Prepare, analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial results to Executive Director, Board of Directors, Leadership Team and others as necessary; oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting. Coordinate the annual audit process and 990 preparations with external CPA firm ; liaise with auditors and external parties, along with the finance committee of the board of directors; assess and perform changes as necessary. In conjunction with the Executive Director, lead annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor grant budget progress and compliance and work with Executive Director to keep the board and leadership team abreast of the organization's financial status. Monitor and update contracts management and financial management reporting system; oversee job bidding; ensure that the grant/contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements. Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting. Carry out the financial reporting aspect of grant reporting. On an annual basis, review, update and implement, as needed, all necessary business policies and accounting practices ; m aintain and update the organization ' s financial policies and procedures as needed . Oversee and delegate financial management and accounting tasks such as bi-monthly payroll, invoice processing, etc. as appropriate . Human Resource and Operational Support Oversee employee benefits programs by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids as needed; and coordinating educational programs on benefit programs . Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, helping to conduct investigations, and maintaining records . Maintain human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records . Oversee facility repairs as needed . Handle insurance plans and service contracts . Perform analysis and forecasting as needed . Work with contracted IT support to recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements . Staff Supervision and Support Provide direct supervision, training, and guidance to supervisees . Develop supervisory rapport and mentor supervisees so that all members feel supported and empowered to contribute individual ideas, skills, and energy. Provide regular feedback to supervisees and conduct timely performance reviews on an annual basis. Support the agency in personnel management activities such as hiring, training, termination, and management of staff and volunteers. Support the development and training of program staff within and across programs to ensure integration and collaboration within the organization . Support team development via multiple strategies, including regular program staff meetings and educational trainings .
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Master's degree in accounting and/or relevant experience . 5-7 years of professional financial management experience including primary responsibilities in financial statement preparation, review, and reporting, as well as, conducting/reviewing/coordinating audits. An understanding of nonprofit accounting and state and federal grants management. An understanding of the unique problems encountered by victims needing advocacy services or the willingness to learn. Understanding of federal and state laws and requirements pertaining to human resource management. Understanding of investment vehicles and strategies, as well as understanding of investment policies and objectives in a nonprofit setting. Experience overseeing and supporting the work of another employee.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting . Ability to translate financial concepts to - and to effectively collaborate with - staff and board members who do not necessarily have finance backgrounds Working knowledge of general accounting practices, and specific skill with; QuickBooks or similar accounting software, payroll preparation and related laws and requirements, benefits administration, cash/treasury management functions, preparing payroll tax returns, preparation of financial statements, hiring paperwork and processes, preparation of 1099's and W2's, payroll preparation and processing, reviewing 990 tax returns. A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic , organization and problem- solving skills which support and enable sound decision making. Ability to maintain professional interactions with community partners and systems representatives. Ability to work with people from various racial, cultural, ability, social and economic backgrounds. Ensure individual and agency adherence to all confidentiality policies in the interest of clients and safety. Ability to independently navigate a computer, use Windows and Microsoft Office software. Valid driver's license, current insurance, and car are required . Ability to work day , evening, and/or weekend hours. Must pass criminal background checks and reside within the Region 9 area .
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, telephone, copy machine, and computer printer. Occasionally operates a motor vehicle. Occasionally moves supplies and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds. Frequently communicates with clients, staff, and community partners in stressful situations . Must be able to exchange accurate information in all situations.
