Analytics Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Vice President of Philanthropy serves as a member of the executive leadership team and provides strategic leadership for all fundraising, donor development and engagement, and philanthropic initiatives, including individual, corporate, and foundation donor development and major gifts. Will also assist with 5-year planned giving campaign. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that secures financial resources to advance the organization's mission and strategic priorities while fostering a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization.
Evaluation:
The President/CEO, following adopted policies of Community Partnership of the Ozarks, evaluates the Vice President of Philanthropy.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required and seven to ten years of progressively responsible fundraising and leadership experience; Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and developing, engaging, and managing donor relationships; Experience in recruiting, developing and supervising staff and volunteers; Demonstrated experience with donor databases, fundraising analytics, and grant writing; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects; Experience leading comprehensive fundraising programs and teams; Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, verbal and written; Demonstrated track record of accuracy, timeliness, dependability, and reliability; Detail-oriented while still able to understand and promote a global view of CPO; Excellent public speaking and presentation skills; Flexibility and professionalism in dealing with diverse individuals and organizations, especially donor prospects; Computer skills, with high knowledge of MS Office; internet research/email communication experience a must; Flexible schedule is required as some events and meetings are scheduled in the evenings and on weekends.
Essential Functions:
Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-year philanthropy and fundraising plan aligned with organizational goals, including annual fundraising goals, objectives, and performance metrics; Provide a vision that promotes a high-performing, collaborative, and philanthropy focused culture; Serve as a member of the executive leadership team, contributing to organizational strategy and decision making; Develop and manage fundraising events annual budget; Monitor fundraising trends and identify opportunities for growth and innovation; Manage donor development in donor database and provide regular reports to the President/CEO, Board, YPAC, and Leadership team; Develop strategies to increase annual donor retention, engagement and giving levels; Lead internal fundraising sub-committees and work with the YPAC and Board Resource Development Committee to plan and implement annual fundraisers and events; Actively collaborate with Communications Department to ensure consistent messaging regarding mission, impact, and fundraising priorities; Represent CPO at community events, donor meetings, and public engagements; Participate in CPO's resource development/fundraising activities; Other duties as assigned.
Reporting Structure:
The Vice President of Philanthropy reports to the President/CEO of Community Partnership.
Position Clarification:
The position of Vice President of Philanthropy is a grant-funded position and is based upon funding availability. The job duties are subject to change, based on the funding requirements. This is an exempt, full-time position. Grant funding dictates the pay range for this position. CPO receives federal grants and contracts and therefore must comply with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988.
