ROLE SUMMARY
This is an Onsite position based at our Allen Plant location in Gastonia, NC. No Visa sponsorships are available for this position. We are seeking an experienced Plant Controller to oversee the finance operations of a $100M plant located in Gastonia, North Carolina. The Plant Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of the manufacturing facility to enhance profitability, efficiency, and fast-paced environment in a matrix organization structure. The Plant Controller will be an integral part of the plant leadership team responsible for managing all financial aspects of the plant's operations, providing strategic insights, and driving financial performance improvements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, costing, profitability & financial analysis, and manufacturing operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all financial activities associated with month-end and year-end close processes, including but not limited to preparing and approving the journal entries, analysis and reporting the P&L, variance analysis & controlling using SAP and Power BI Determine, execute, and report the counter actions plans to improve the financial performance, if the deviation exists to the plan Actively participate in the daily/weekly SQDC meetings with the plant team and drive the commitment and ownership culture to meet the financial targets Perform yearly budgeting and monthly forecasting activities of the plant and ensure all the risks and opportunities are identified and captured Manage product costing process, cost center planning & reporting, internal orders, tariffs, routings, and the product cost development in SAP Investment controlling, Inventory management, headcount reporting and ad-hoc analysis of the plant Create/use the internal control systems to ensure compliance with the company procedures and, thus, minimize the financial risks Coordinate with other functions and plants in the region for project controlling and business case calculations Develop and maintain the standard reporting packages and documentation Manage and report the operations KPIs to the management periodically Provide regular information to business partners (reports, analyses, etc.) to get an understanding of current developments compared to plan and forecast
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience:
Minimum 7 years' relevant work experience Must have manufacturing or industrial environment finance experience Experence working within a fast-paced, matrix organizational structure
Required Skills:
Strong analytical and communication skills Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment Competence in MS Office with advanced Excel skills ERP system experience

MBA CPA or CMA Certification SAP ERP system experience Automotive industry experience #LI - Onsite
