We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of a growing privately owned construction company in North Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader who can strengthen reporting accuracy, oversee budgeting, and provide clear financial guidance across multiple lines of business. The successful candidate will bring strong construction accounting knowledge, leadership capability, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations across cash activity, fixed assets, the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes.
• Oversee the collection and organization of financial information to ensure timely and accurate reporting of company performance.
• Maintain reliable financial controls, safeguard company assets, and uphold accounting policies that support accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple business units and deliver clear analysis to leadership.
• Review and validate work-in-progress reporting for construction activity to confirm accuracy at each month-end close.
• Build, track, and communicate annual and monthly budgets, highlighting variances and operational trends.
• Establish and refine internal control procedures that strengthen the company's overall financial framework.
• Complete required filings, reports, and supporting documentation for federal and state regulatory compliance.
• Assess contract language and support negotiations to improve financial and operational terms for the business.
• Supervise project accounting staff and provide leadership in performance management, coaching, and other personnel-related matters.
