Murray Roofing is the largest commercial and industrial flat roofing company in Western New York. Under the same ownership since 1976, Murray Roofing has established a reputation for quality workmanship and professional service. The Controller will be responsible for the daily financial and accounting operations of the company, including weekly payroll, human resources, insurance and coordinating with our CPA for the timely submission of all tax filings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Administer the processing of the weekly payroll using Deltek ComputerEase accounting software. Submit Quarterly and Annual Federal and State Unemployment and Withholding Tax Returns. Administer Child Support and Wage Garnishment reporting and remittances. Verify employee eligibility and maintain employee record keeping.
• Submit all financial records and documents to CPA for reviewed financial statement.
• Administer the 401(k) Retirement Plan with Fidelity. Responsible for the remittance of weekly employer and employee contributions along with annual Non-Discrimination Testing and submission of 5500 Form.
• Select and administer the company health, dental and disability insurance plans. Review the costs and benefits of each plan on an annual basis.
• Supervise Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable staff. Responsible for all General Ledger entries, all banking functions and the submission of monthly Sales Tax Returns and other various returns.
• Responsible for all Cash Disbursements and managing Cash Flow. Coordinate Line of Credit requirements with banking institution.
• Submit Credit Applications to Vendor and approve Credit Applications to Customers.
• Submit documentation for Workers' Compensation claims and keep OSHA logs updated.
• Responsible for administering General Liability, Umbrella, Workers' Compensation, Property/Inland Marine, Automobile and Crime policies and working with insurance agent and bonding company to secure Performance and Payment Bonds and Bid Bonds.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Experience with Deltek ComputerEase or similar accounting software
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and have strong attention to detail
