- The Role As our Dual Controller, you will oversee all accounting and financial operations for both the Homewood Suites by Hilton Carle Place and SpringHill Suites by Marriott Carle Place.
- What You'll Be Doing Oversee all accounting and financial functions for both hotel properties Prepare and review monthly financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing processes Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll review, cash management, and bank reconciliations Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and accounting procedures Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to improve revenue, profitability, and operational efficiency Partner with General Managers and department leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and expense management Review daily revenue reporting and ensure the accuracy of financial data Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements Manage balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger integrity Analyze labor costs, operating expenses, and financial trends to support decision-making Train, mentor, and support accounting team members as applicable Assist with capital planning, asset management, and special projects Serve as the primary financial resource for hotel leadership and corporate partners•Why You'll Love It Here Opportunity to lead the financial operations of two nationally recognized hotel brands Highly visible leadership role with direct impact on business performance Collaborative environment that values strategic thinking and financial expertise Opportunity to partner with hotel leaders and influence operational decisions Professional growth within a dynamic hospitality organization•Qualifications What Makes You You Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred Hotel accounting or hospitality finance experience required Previous Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leadership experience preferred Strong knowledge of hotel financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls Experience with payroll review, cash management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable business recommendations Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills Experience working with hotel accounting systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with hotel and corporate leadership High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities across two hotel properties This is a salaried management position and requires flexibility to work additional hours, weekends, holidays, and respond to business needs as necessary.
