Controller (Manufacturing)
Department:
Finance About the Role We are seeking a Controller to lead our accounting and financial operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible forfinancial reporting, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and GAAP compliance, while driving cost control, margin improvement, and data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in manufacturing accounting, ERP systems, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and is comfortable leveraging financial automation and AI tools to improve efficiency. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting operations: general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations Lead month-end and year-end close processes with accurate financial reporting Develop and maintain internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance Manage budgeting and forecasting and support financial planning & analysis (FP&A) Perform cost accounting, including job costing, standard costing, and production cost analysis (materials, labor, machine time) Monitor inventory management, valuation, and inventory accounting for raw materials and finished goods Deliver insights to improve cost control, operational efficiency, and profitability Support audit compliance and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors Lead and mentor accounting staff, driving team leadership and staff development Optimize ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and financial reporting tools Implement financial automation, AI in accounting, and business intelligence tools to enhance reporting and insights Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to internal controls in all systems Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 5-10+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, including leadership experience Strong background in manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, and inventory management Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics preferred) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, financial modeling, data analysis) Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration abilities Work Environment Office environment within a manufacturing facility Regular interaction with production and operations teams Standard business hours with additional time during month-end close, audits, and reporting cycles Success Metrics (KPIs) Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting Cost control and margin improvement Inventory accuracy and turnover Budget adherence and forecast accuracy Successful audit outcomes and compliance standards Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan options Paid time off and holidays Professional development and growth opportunities

$110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
