This hands-on leadership role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys building processes, improving reporting, and creating structure within an evolving environment. The Controller will partner closely with executive leadership to strengthen accounting operations, enhance financial visibility, and support future growth initiatives. Responsibilities Lead the month-end close process, including reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and financial statement preparation. Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and general ledger activities. Coordinate external audit preparation and serve as the primary accounting contact during audits. Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures. Support balance sheet reconciliations and other complex accounting projects. Develop and improve inventory and cost accounting processes within a manufacturing environment. Prepare financial reporting packages and supporting analyses for leadership. Document and streamline accounting workflows to improve efficiency and scalability. Assist with system enhancements, ERP-related initiatives, and process improvement efforts. Partner with leadership to build an accounting infrastructure capable of supporting continued business growth. Progressive accounting leadership experience, including experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager. Manufacturing accounting experience required. Strong cost accounting experience required. Experience improving processes and working within evolving or changing environments. Strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close. ERP implementation or system conversion experience is a plus. Proven ability to balance strategic initiatives with hands-on execution.
