Assistant Controller

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Ludlow Composites Corporation is a 80+ year old leading manufacturer of PVC and latex foam products serving a variety of different markets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Apply a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure. Lead efforts to establish fiscal year budgets Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and distribute reporting against established budgets Respond to inquiries from the team regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc. Maintain financial security by establishing internal controls. Direct the functional areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, general accounting, cost accounting, and IT Monitor company's cash position along with accurate and timely payments of credits, rebates, and invoice payments Manage record retention Coordination with bank on all regular requirements Accounting responsibilities for multi-site decentralized accounting functions Continuously improve the integration of business processes and technological advancements to support the company's continuous improvement efforts

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance Managerial accounting 5-7 years of experience including light manufacturing experience Foreign corporate and currency experience Understanding of transfer pricing Ability to effectively direct and supervise Advanced experience in MS Office, especially Excel Experience in Sage300, MISys Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and client service skills Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment Analytical and strategic thinker Strong understanding of GAAP The company offers a comprehensive benefit package.
