$140,000 to $160,000 depending on experience About Us Our client is a growing, well-established manufacturing organization headquartered in Dover, Ohio, committed to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality products to customers nationwide. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Finance to join our executive leadership team and help drive financial performance across the organization. Position Overview The Vice President of Finance serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic financial direction while overseeing all aspects of the company's finance and accounting functions. This leader will drive financial planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, cash management, and operational analysis to support profitable growth. The ideal candidate combines executive-level strategic thinking with a strong manufacturing finance background and a collaborative leadership style. Key Responsibilities Lead the company's financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range business planning initiatives. Oversee all accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting, general accounting, cost accounting, treasury, and internal controls. Partner with operations and plant leadership to improve profitability, manufacturing efficiency, inventory management, and cost performance. Develop meaningful financial reporting and KPI dashboards to support executive decision-making. Analyze manufacturing costs, labor efficiencies, material variances, inventory performance, and capital investments. Manage cash flow, banking relationships, financing activities, and working capital. Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, audits, and corporate policies. Lead annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes while providing actionable financial insights. Evaluate capital expenditures and strategic investments to support business growth. Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team. Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, operational efficiencies, and long-term profitability. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior leadership within a manufacturing environment. Strong expertise in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, inventory management, and financial planning & analysis. Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations is preferred. Proven success leading budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning initiatives. Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, Infor, or similar manufacturing platforms. Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills.
