Job Summary:
Ultium Cells seeks a Financial Specialist who is responsible for collecting and studying the financial and operational data to analyze profitability of the business, extracting and defining relevant information. The candidate will dig into complex datasets to analyze trends and translate them into actionable insights for continuous process/profitability improvements. This role also will be able to communicate with cross-functional teams and individuals within the company as well as in the corporate headquarters on a day-to-day basis.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage Cashflow (analysis and forecast), Bank accounts, borrowing schedule
Execute the daily/weekly/Monthly payment, closing reconcile, FX trade etc.
Research and confirm all outstanding AP payment related issues; track payments and update daily bank balance information
Correspond HQ reports after daily/month-end closing
Communicate with commercial banks/ make a relation with commercial banks
Update & maintain accurate banking information & documentation
Perform due diligence for borrowing, involve with documentation works.
Perform variance analyses to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management and operations
Create one time and recurring reports as needed for internal usage
Handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
Meet deadlines, ability to prioritize and be an effective team member
Develop modeling tools to measure financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and support strategic initiatives
Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, capital expenditures, product and working capital
Assist in preparing forecasts, collaborating with cross-functional teams
Assists departmental personnel with budget questions, proper expenditure coding, document processing and other accounting related activities
Assisting in compiling and providing PBC information to internal and external auditors
Develop and document internal controls, including creating Flowcharts (FC) and Risk Control Matrices (RCM), to ensure robust internal control processes are in place
Execute control testing by collecting and reviewing samples to assess the design and operational effectiveness of controls; update the RCM as necessary based on findings.
Conduct operational control testing by evaluating samples to verify the effectiveness of control measures.
Train department personnel on internal control procedures and RCM practices to foster compliance awareness and standardize control processes
Oversee monthly financial close processes, reviewing key accounts and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Manage and review long-term accounts and inventory processes to support accurate reporting, efficient resolution of outstanding balances, and compliance with policies.
Support fixed asset management, including registration, and issue resolution, to maintain accurate asset records.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Experience in Accounting, corporate finance and/or financial analysis preferred
Advanced MS Excel skills
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills
Excellent time management and organizational ability
Strong communication and presentation skills
Attention to detail
Bilingual in English and Korean Required
Must be able to speak and read English
Knowledge in the manufacturing industry a plus
SAP experience preferred
