Job Description

Description NewSpring Capital is seeking a Vice President to join our Holdings Strategy. In this capacity, you will play an integral role in continuing to develop the success of the Holdings Strategy broadly, including: sourcing, quarterbacking and negotiating new platform investment opportunities, managing a team of investment professionals, and working with the top-tier operators of our platform companies to drive successful investment outcomes. Requirements Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Originating investment thesis and platform opportunities through leveraging and developing your personal network of operator and intermediary contacts.
  • Quarterbacking deal origination and execution including: o Evaluating and analyzing potential investment opportunities and structures o Performing extensive due diligence and distilling the key takeaways o Creating and overseeing the construction of investment models o Generate investment memorandums and supporting analyses o Presenting directly to the Investment Committee
  • Assist in portfolio management and monitoring with the opportunity to work directly with the C-Suite management teams of existing investments.
  • Developing and conducting market and industry research and assessing competitive landscapes, while qualifying investment opportunities.
  • Recruiting, mentoring, leading, overseeing and collaborating with investment professionals at the Analyst and (Senior) Associate level.
  • Assisting with Fundraising and Investor Relations as needed.
  • Participating in strategic planning for the Holdings Strategy.
Qualifications:
  • [6 - 8] years of related experience (Private equity experience required).
  • Proven experience leading transactions over a sustained period with exceptional analytical capabilities.
  • Significant experience in financial modeling, company valuation, and financial analysis.
  • Team player who is always willing to step in when needed, mentor others, be a part of our tight knit culture and embodies our core values.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and self-motivated by the desire to always go one step further to find the answer.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to be proactive and responsive in high-pressure situations.
  • Intellectual curiosity with a desire to continually learn and grow.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under time constraints with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to synthesize complex information and communicate to relevant stakeholders, in addition to forming a point of view on the matter.
  • History of rendering sound judgement on situations that require critical thinking.
  • Bachelor's Degree with excellent academic achievement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ties to the Philadelphia area are strongly preferred.
