About the Role Anthony & Sylvan is looking for a finance leader who wants to reinvent how FP&A gets done, not someone who will run the existing playbook a little faster. As Director, FP&A and Finance Transformation, you will own enterprise-wide planning, forecasting, and performance reporting, while also serving as the person who asks whether each process should exist in its current form at all, and who is actively building the AI enabled, automated finance function of the future. This is a highly visible, dual mandate role. Half of the job is the FP&A fundamentals: accurate forecasts, clear Board narratives, sound capital analysis. The other half is transformation, using AI, automation, and modern analytics tools to fundamentally redesign how the Finance organization forecasts, reports, and partners with the business. We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, treats every manual process as a hypothesis worth testing, and gets genuinely energized by the question "could this be done differently?" General Summary of Position The Director of FP&A and Finance Transformation is a strategic finance leader responsible for enterprise-wide planning, forecasting, reporting, analytics, and performance management across Anthony & Sylvan, in support of the Company's One Door strategy. Beyond traditional FP&A ownership, this role is charged with leading the transformation of the Finance function itself, introducing AI enabled reporting, automation, and modern data tools to replace manual, decentralized processes with scalable, insight driven ones. This leader partners closely with executive leadership, the Board, and cross functional teams, translating financial results into strategic narratives while simultaneously reimagining the underlying processes that produce them. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Lead enterprise-wide financial planning and performance management including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning; develop consolidated revenue, margin, and EBITDA forecasts incorporating key business drivers such as sales pipeline, backlog, construction performance, and service activity; and establish standardized planning assumptions, frameworks, and tools across divisions and functions. Drive Finance transformation with an AI-first mindset by challenging traditional FP&A processes and identifying opportunities to redesign, simplify, automate, or eliminate manual forecasting, reporting, close, and decision-support activities to improve efficiency, forecast accuracy, and speed of decision-making. Evaluate and implement AI-enabled technologies and intelligent automation by piloting reporting, forecasting, and decision-support solutions; developing business cases for technology investments; and partnering with IT and external vendors to balance innovation with practicality, data integrity, scalability, and risk. Lead enterprise performance analysis and business insights by linking financial results to operational drivers across the customer lifecycle and analyzing performance across divisions, markets, and channels to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actions that improve revenue, profitability, efficiency, and customer outcomes. Serve as a strategic finance partner to executive leadership, General Managers, and functional leaders by translating complex financial and operational information into actionable recommendations, supporting data-driven decision-making and accountability, and providing financial guidance for pricing optimization, capacity planning, service expansion, and other strategic growth initiatives. Lead executive reporting, investment analysis, and strategic financial decision support by developing standardized dashboards, executive and Board presentations, and clear performance narratives; evaluating capital investments, market expansion, products and services, and strategic initiatives using ROI, NPV, IRR, and other financial modeling; and recommending priorities based on financial return and strategic impact. Lead the evolution of a scalable, technology-enabled Finance organization by defining best-practice FP&A processes, roles, responsibilities, and operating models; aligning financial reporting, operational data, and system capabilities with Accounting, Operations, and IT; and building and developing a high-performing, technology-forward FP&A team through coaching, mentorship, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Perform other duties as assigned. Generative AI and Automation Tool Experience Required AI fluency is a core expectation of this role, not a preference. The successful candidate should already be an active practitioner of generative AI and understand how AI is changing financial planning, reporting, and decision making.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Education Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; MBA preferred Licenses/Certifications None required Years of Experience 7-10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analytics, business intelligence, finance transformation, or related fields. Candidates with analytics, automation, or transformation-focused backgrounds are encouraged to apply, even without a traditional FP&A career path. Experience redesigning, automating, or modernizing financial processes, rather than solely operating within established processes. Experience supporting executive leadership and Board-level reporting. Experience in a multi-division or decentralized environment with centralized oversight preferred. Required Skills & Abilities Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities Demonstrated hands-on use of generative AI and automation tools to improve financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, or other finance workflows Advanced experience with Power BI, SQL, or similar data automation and visualization tools Proven ability to redesign and automate business and financial processes through technology Strong understanding of financial and operational performance drivers in project-based, service, or construction environments Experience with ERP, CRM, FP&A, and BI systems; Acumatica and Velixo experience preferred Proven ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable business insights Strong executive communication, presentation, and storytelling skills Ability to influence and drive alignment across all organizational levels without direct authority Strong business acumen, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments Travel Requirements As needed Other Requirements
