We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead Maverick's accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, effective cash management, and compliance with applicable commercial and government-contract requirements. This role will partner closely with executive leadership and program management to provide financial visibility into company performance, program costs, cash requirements, and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting and controllership experience with the ability to operate hands-on in a fast-paced startup environment. Experience with aerospace, defense, government contracting, FAR/DFARS, DCAA requirements, or other regulated industries is highly desirable.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manage and oversee all daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations in accordance with GAAP Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports Develop and maintain annual budget, forecasts, and cash-flow projections Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks. Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with department heads. Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits and ensure compliance. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements. Support strategic initiatives by providing financial insights and recommendations to senior management.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field Prior experience in a controller or senior accounting role Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft ExcelPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration Experience with ERP systems such as Unanet, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite Familiarity with tax regulations and experience managing tax filings Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and forecasting Experience working in the defense industry with FARs and DFARsPAY RATE
The annual base salary for this position is $133,640 - $173,680. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Maverick RF Solutions considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.BENEFITS
