Location:
Hybrid - Plymouth Meeting, PA Overview LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a large, well-established nonprofit organization providing behavioral health, special education, and social services across the Greater Philadelphia region. This organization offers a mission-driven environment focused on supporting individuals and families through a wide continuum of care. The Controller will oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance functions. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while supporting leadership with strategic decision-making. Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll-related journal entries
  • Analyze and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Support audit processes, tax filings, and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and funding requirements
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in partnership with the CFO
  • Strengthen internal controls and financial reporting processes
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and risk management practices
  • Lead and develop accounting staff, including hiring, training, and performance management Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (10+ years preferred)
  • Prior nonprofit experience required, ideally within behavioral health, healthcare, or social services
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls Benefits Summary
