Creative Financial Staffing is partnered with a nonprofit organization seeking a Controller to lead their accounting department. Why This Organization?

Responsibilities:
Accounting & Compliance:
Oversee all non-profit accounting functions, including tax returns, Form 990 , regulatory filings, surveys, and HUD compliance. Manage financial reporting, including reconciliations, journal entries, financial statements, and cash reconciliations. Handle 100 leases across vehicle and real estate assets. Work with 5 entities , managing intercompany transactions and multiple cash accounts. Support a large operational structure with 200 service locations across six states.
Leadership & Team Management:
Directly manage a team of five (AP Manager and accountants). Oversee 8-10 indirect reports. This role does not oversee Payroll, AR, or Billing.
Technology & Reporting:
Utilize Great Plains (experience with the system is a plus but not required). Prepare financial reports and compliance documents.
Qualifications:
5+ years of non-profit industry experience in an accounting role is required . Strong technical accounting and compliance expertise. Experience managing a high-volume, multi-entity financial structure . Leadership experience managing accounting teams.
Compensation & Work Environment:
Salary:
$135,000 – 150,000, depending on experience
