This individual will serve as a key resource to the finance team and must be able to step in quickly with minimal training.

Hybrid in Warwick, RI or remote, depending on candidate's location
Salary Range:
$100,000
  • $110,000 Controller Responsibilities Lead and support year-end close activities and audit preparation.
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports. Run and analyze reports for auditors and state reporting requirements. Support AP, AR, payroll, and general accounting functions. Provide guidance to accounting staff and help resolve accounting and system-related questions. Ensure proper account classifications and support overall financial operations. Controller Qualifications MUST have direct accounting experience within a K-12 school district or school system. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Strong experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end/year-end close, and audits. Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach. Ability to work independently and support multiple stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Munis ERP software. Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accounting leadership experience. Experience in union and non-union environments. #INJUL2026
