Fractional Controller / Finance Operations Lead (Part-Time)

Portable Technology Solutions is a technology company focused on barcode, RFID, RTLS, SaaS, and mobile data collection solutions. Our platforms include TracerPlus, ClearStream RFID, and the PTS Cloud, supporting customers across logistics, warehousing, field service, and enterprise operations. We are seeking an experienced Fractional Controller / Finance Operations Lead to help strengthen financial structure, improve operational visibility, optimize NetSuite workflows, and enhance cash flow and budgeting processes across the organization. This is a strategic part-time role (approximately 10 hours per week) focused on improving systems, processes, reporting, and operational discipline as the company continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Audit current accounting, financial, and operational processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities Review and optimize NetSuite workflows, reporting, dashboards, saved searches, and approval processes Improve financial visibility, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and expense management Help reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency across finance and accounting Improve month-end close procedures and reporting consistency Assist with KPI and operational reporting development Help strengthen internal controls and financial process documentation Improve operational alignment between NetSuite, Salesforce, SaaS billing, purchasing, and accounting workflows Mentor and support internal accounting staff while helping introduce additional structure and accountability Preferred Qualifications Strong hands-on NetSuite experience required Experience with SaaS, subscription, hardware, and mixed revenue environments preferred Experience improving ERP workflows and operational finance processes Strong background in cash flow management, budgeting, and operational reporting Familiarity with Salesforce-integrated operational workflows preferred Process-oriented mindset with strong organizational and analytical skills Position Details Part-Time / Fractional Role Approximately 10 hours per week Flexible schedule Hybrid or remote flexibility possible Hourly or consulting-based engagement Ideal Candidate This role is ideal for a senior finance professional who enjoys improving operational structure, optimizing systems and workflows, strengthening financial visibility, and helping growing companies build scalable financial processes and controls.
