Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Public Accounting professional to lead technical accounting and accounting policy initiatives within a dynamic finance organization. This role serves as a key advisor on complex transactions, emerging accounting standards, and financial reporting matters. The successful candidate will partner across finance, corporate development, legal, treasury, and business leadership to evaluate accounting implications, develop accounting policies, and support strategic business initiatives. This position requires extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, strong technical research capabilities, and experience applying accounting guidance to complex ownership structures, investment arrangements, and corporate transactions. Evaluate the accounting implications of strategic transactions, investments, acquisitions, restructurings, and other significant business initiatives. Provide technical accounting guidance to finance and business leaders on complex accounting matters and emerging issues. Research, interpret, and document accounting conclusions in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Monitor new accounting and financial reporting standards and coordinate implementation across the organization. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of accounting policies and compliance with regulatory guidance. Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate technical accounting discussions and support audit activities. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred. Eight or more years of progressive accounting experience with significant technical accounting expertise; public accounting experience preferred.
