Job Description

Position Overview Lee College seeks a strategic and relationship-driven executive to serve as Vice President, External Affairs and Executive Director of the Lee College Foundation. Reporting directly to the President and serving on the President's Cabinet, this leader will oversee institutional advancement, philanthropy, government relations, grant development, marketing and public affairs, and community engagement while helping shape the College's next era of growth and regional impact. Key Responsibilities Lead a comprehensive external affairs strategy integrating fundraising, government relations, grants, marketing, and community engagement. Cultivate major philanthropic, corporate, foundation, and community partnerships that advance the College's mission and strategic priorities. Serve as Executive Director of the Lee College Foundation, providing leadership for foundation governance, board relations, stewardship, and financial oversight. Guide institutional marketing, public affairs, and communications efforts to strengthen Lee College's visibility and reputation. Build and mentor a high-performing external affairs team while serving as a trusted advisor to the President and institutional leadership. Qualifications Seven to ten years of progressively responsible leadership experience in advancement, external affairs, government relations, or a related field. Demonstrated success securing major philanthropic gifts and building corporate partnerships. Experience working with nonprofit or foundation boards and leading multi-functional teams. Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and strategic leadership skills. Master's degree preferred (or equivalent experience); CFRE designation preferred.
