Based in the Houston, TX area, Axia currently serves more than 250 clients located throughout the U.S. and overseas. Our team delivers support in all areas of administration, including donor care and engagement, donation processing and receipting, treasury management, accounting, reporting, financial planning, U.S. and international taxation, human resources, payroll, and benefit administration, all of which form a strong support foundation vitally important to front-line mission success. Description Overview Axia International seeks full-time candidates for our Controller position. Ideal candidates have a passion for serving others, demonstrated integrity and trustworthiness, and a desire to apply broad financial and technology skills to Axia and a portfolio of non-profit efforts served by Axia. Additionally, candidates should have an active Certified Public Accountant license and enjoy working in an office environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee and support all areas of administration for Axia and multiple non-profit efforts, including the accounting process, financial reporting, performance management, payroll and benefits, treasury, and compliance. Develop policies and procedures, plus ensure an effective control environment, for Axia and those it serves Proactively assist Axia and non-profit efforts with risk management, business performance reporting, and decision making, which includes providing meaningful variance and driver analysis Contribute to the periodic planning and budgeting process for Axia and other non-profit efforts Support third-party audits or reviews, as well as tax return preparation and other compliance requirements Lead and support other special projects as may be required Qualifications 3 to 10 years of experience High integrity, enthusiastic, and passionate, able to build positive relationships Strong team leadership, organization, time management, and communication skills Willingness to be hands-on and accountable for the details Working knowledge of MS Office products, especially Excel BSc or BA in accounting, finance or related MS in accounting, finance, or related Active Certified Public Accountant license Non-profit experience is a plus International non-profit or business experience is a plus Salary $110,000 - $150,000 per year
