About the role Factory6 is seeking an experienced FP&A Professional to act as our new FP&A Manager. This is a highly autonomous role reporting directly to the President of the company. Direct experience in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred for this position. As the first dedicated FP&A hire, you will be empowered to architect the company's financial planning infrastructure from the ground up. We are looking for a "builder" who is comfortable pioneering new processes and acting as a strategic partner to the executive team. The core mission of this role is to support department budget development, track General & Administrative (G&A) expenses, and meticulously manage Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) related to our supply chain and production operations. You will be a primary driver in ensuring the company meets its revenue and profitability targets through technical precision and strategic insight.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Budgeting AOP Ownership:

Manage an Annual Operating Plan (AOP), periodic forecasts, and long-range planning processes.

Budget Development:

Lead the creation of budgets across all departments, ensuring strict alignment with Factory6's growth and profitability goals.

Calendar Management:

Establish and maintain a master FP&A calendar, coordinating timelines for annual plans, quarterly forecasts, monthly closes, and Board deliverables.

Standardization:

Develop and communicate planning instructions, templates, and key assumptions to budget owners to drive consistency in methodologies and financial definitions organization-wide.

Financial Modeling & Analysis Integrated Modeling:

Own and maintain the company's integrated financial model, including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.

Technical Depth:

Build scenario analysis capabilities to evaluate business risks, strategic investments, and operating performance, with a specific focus on liquidity and working capital management.

System Administration:

Act as the internal owner and administrator of the company's planning software; identify process gaps and lead system improvements to ensure data integrity and scalable planning cycles.

KPI Integration:

Develop driver-based model inputs by working cross-functionally to utilize key departmental KPIs.

Reporting:

Produce the monthly financial reporting package and lead monthly operating reviews with department heads.

Cash Management & Compliance Cash Forecasting:

Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to provide weekly cash forecasts to leadership.

Covenant Tracking:

Monitor and track key lender covenant compliance metrics to ensure financial stability.

Profitability Protection:

Proactively track and analyze COGS and G&A expenses, identifying variances in manufacturing costs to protect company margins.

Executive Support:

Prepare high-level materials for executive discussions, including Board presentations and leadership operating reviews.

Qualifications Required:

Industry Experience:

5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or Corporate Finance, specifically within the manufacturing industry.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Technical Mastery:

Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including expertise in building integrated financial statements, variance analysis, and complex financial modeling.

Systems:

Proven experience utilizing and improving ERP systems and financial planning software.

Attributes:

High degree of autonomy; must be comfortable executing initiatives and architecting departments with minimal supervision.

Preferred:

Education/Certification:

MBA or professional certifications such as Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) or Financial Planning & Analysis Professional (FPAP).

Financial Expertise:

Deep understanding of accounting fundamentals, specifically relating to manufacturing working capital. Work Schedule Due to the autonomous nature of this role, the FP&A will need to work in our Lindon office and follow a "9 to 5" schedule during operating hours. This is a full-time exempt position. The company's operating hours are 6:00 am to 11:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Fridays.
