About Wi-Fiber Wi-Fiber is a fast-growing internet service provider, proudly serving Utah, Idaho, Washington, Nevada, California, Arizona, Colorado and Texas. Recognized as the #1 Best Internet Service Provider in Northern Utah for three consecutive years, we are rapidly expanding and looking for a Vice President of Construction to join our growing operation Position Summary The Vice President of Construction is responsible for overseeing all construction-related activities for fiber deployment projects. This role serves as the primary liaison between construction operations and executive leadership, ensuring alignment on timelines, budgets, and strategic priorities. This leader will operate at a high-level driving planning, financial oversight, and accountability while managing a team that executes day-to-day field operations. The VP of Construction will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory and funding requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive construction plans aligned with grant programs requirements and company objectives Establish clear expectations, milestones, and deliverables in partnership with executive leadership Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery Oversee and approve all construction-related invoices, purchase orders (POs), and budget allocations Ensure accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting across all phases of the project Partner with finance to maintain compliance with grant funding guidelines and audit requirements Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Quality Control teams, and other construction personnel Ensure accountability for field execution while remaining focused on high-level decision-making and issue resolution Monitor project progress and intervene as needed to resolve escalations or complex challenges Serve as the primary point of contact between construction and executive leadership Deliver regular updates on project status, financial performance, risks, and key milestones Ensure all construction activities meet federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including grant programs compliance Oversee quality control standards to ensure infrastructure is built to specification and long-term reliability Requirements 10+ years of experience in construction management, telecommunications infrastructure, or related field Proven experience leading large-scale fiber or broadband deployment projects Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, invoices, and purchase orders Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage through others (Project Managers, QC, etc.) Experience working with executive leadership and influencing strategic decisions Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred Experience with BEAD-funded or government-funded infrastructure projects Familiarity with fiber network construction standards and best practices Background in multi-site or regional project management Experience navigating regulatory compliance and audit requirements
