Full-Time About the Opportunity We are partnering with a growing and financially sophisticated organization seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic accounting professional with a strong background in private equity, investment accounting, and real estate who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, month-end and year-end close. Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Manage accounting activities related to investment portfolios, private equity transactions, and real estate holdings. Ensure timely reporting of investment performance, capital activity, and asset valuations. Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures. Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements. Partner with executive leadership to support financial planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives. Mentor and lead the accounting team while driving process improvements and operational efficiencies. Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance across multiple entities. Qualifications 5+ years of progressive accounting experience , including experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA designation preferred. Strong experience with private equity, investment accounting, and real estate accounting is preferred. Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience managing multiple entities and complex financial structures. Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills with excellent attention to detail.
