Controller

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our client in the Marysville, Washington area. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting the accounting team, and preparing the organization for upcoming audits. The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of expertise in accounting and financial management to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency. Prior experience working with federal grants is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support the accounting team to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
• Conduct detailed account reconciliations, including balance sheet, bank accounts, and other financial statements.
• Prepare for audits by reviewing financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage fixed assets and ensure accurate reporting and tracking.
• Create and establish organizational structures to improve financial processes and systems.
• Lead month-end and year-end close procedures to maintain timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure proper fund and grant accounting practices are followed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address audit-related findings and implement corrective measures.
• Provide strategic guidance to enhance the organization's financial stability and long-term growth.
