Controller

Robert Half is looking for a Controller to join the team of dynamic company. Under the limited supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, th Controller will focus on the management of a small team applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This position is a 'hands on' role that assist in meeting the organization's values and mission as the organization grows both organically and inorganically.

Job Duties:

Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payrollManaging the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business resultsCoordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements on a timely basisCoordinating activities of external auditors and tax return preparation by external tax accountantProviding management with information vital to the decision-making processesAssisting with the budget process and manage analytics associated with annual budgets and forecastsOverseeing treasury operations including cash collections and disbursementsAssessing current accounting operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing new processes and proceduresEvaluating and modifying, as necessary, accounting, and internal control systemsEvaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and related applications and making improvements and changes as necessaryAssisting with the development and monitoring of business performance metricsOversight and/or preparation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual tax, insurance and compliance reporting.

Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staffEvaluating, modifying, maintaining, monitoring, and enforcing accounting and financial policies and proceduresOther projects as assigned

Travel:

up to 25%The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 + discretionary bonus.
