Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Controller who is exceptionally detail-oriented, process-driven, and committed to accuracy . This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives on building structure, improving workflows, and maintaining strong internal controls. Working closely with the Director of Finance, the Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure the integrity and compliance of financial data, and deliver timely, accurate reporting. This position plays a critical role in strengthening financial systems, improving operational visibility, and supporting informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and variance reports Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Apply construction accounting principles, including job costing and percentage-of-completion Oversee AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and commission calculations Monitor cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities Provide leadership, prioritization, and development for accounting staff Manage multi-entity accounting and intercompany reconciliations Ensure GAAP compliance, audit readiness, and coordination with external auditors Evaluate and improve accounting systems and processes Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 712 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership Minimum 5 years in construction or manufacturing (required) Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting Experience with multi-entity environments and external audits ERP experience (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, Dynamics, etc.) Advanced Excel skills and strong cross-functional communication Skills & Attributes Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Highly organized and process-oriented Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Service-minded and collaborative Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop a team Work Environment This is an in-office role requiring regular on-site presence.
