Job Description

Associate Agricultural Policy Support Specialist To be an effective team member of the Agricultural Policy Services Department. To provide quality support services in a prompt and professional manner to Farm Bureau Insurance agents and underwriters. Enter data into corporate systems for new business, reinstatements, endorsements, cancellations, and renewal items. Ensure proper coding on all transactions. Verify the accuracy of data to be input, checking for valid codes, correct entries, and entries that may be inconsistent with history file information. Follow exception processing guidelines. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of processing procedures, coverages, and automated system operation for processing one line of business.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred with focus on insurance, business administration, finance, or management. Six to twelve months of work experience required. Computer experience required. Keyboarding skills of 45-50 wpm with accuracy required. Ability to learn quickly required. Willingness to pursue continuing job-related training and education required. Designations in AAIC, AINS, API or AIS preferred, or completion within two years of hire required.
Preferred:
General knowledge of insurance preferred.
