Job Description

Overview This Underwriter Assistant specifically works with national payroll agencies and digital partners and is within a quickly growing division of the AmTrust with opportunities for advancement. Emphasis is on providing excellent customer service, which consists of friendly and prompt responses to agent emails, calls, and quick problem resolution. Underwriting assistants work directly with the agent providing documents, binding policies and processing endorsements. Note, this role works 4 days in office and 1 day remote our of our Concord, CA office Responsibilities Underwrite small renewals within an assigned Letter of Authority. Works closely with underwriters in handling policy requests and renewals. Follow underwriting guidelines, state regulation, and general procedures while handling assigned renewal policies. Maintains ownership of tasks assigned and provide acceptable service standards when processing and assigning tasks. Provide agency support to assigned agents by answering general questions, providing endorsement status, cancellation status, billing inquiries, or assigning work to the appropriate contacts.
Qualifications Required :
Perform multi-tasks under pressure and high volume of daily transactions Analyzes and processes diverse information High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) MS Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills Prior work experience in an office environment
Preferred :
Bachelor's degree or an insurance related designation is preferred Minimum of 3 years' experience working at an insurance carrier The compensation range for this role is $18.00/hour to $30.50/hour
