Responsibilities Safely operate flatbed trucks with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws Load and unload freight efficiently using equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and proper securing on flatbeds or refrigerated trailers Transport a variety of cargo including refrigerated goods, tanker loads, construction materials on dump trucks, or roll-off containers to multiple destinations Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns Plan routes effectively for timely deliveries, managing route driving responsibilities while optimizing fuel efficiency and delivery schedules Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, road conditions, or any issues encountered during trips Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, inspection reports, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on flatbed operations and route driving Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards for CDL A license holders Skilled in handling various types of freight including freight on refrigerated trailers, tanker loads, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely over long distances or urban routes Experience with load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment when required Excellent problem-solving skills to navigate route challenges or delivery issues efficiently Physical ability to load/unload freight and perform vehicle inspections regularly Embark on a career that moves you forward!
