In this vital role, you will serve as a compassionate advocate and resource for students, ensuring their emotional, behavioral, and academic needs are met with professionalism and care. Your energetic approach will help foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student can thrive. You will collaborate closely with educators, parents, and community partners to implement effective strategies that promote student well-being and success. Responsibilities Provide direct support to students facing behavioral health challenges, crisis situations, or emotional distress through active crisis intervention and conflict management techniques. Assist in developing and implementing individualized plans for students requiring special education services or behavioral support. Manage crisis situations efficiently by applying crisis management skills, de-escalating conflicts, and coordinating emergency responses when necessary. Support teachers and staff by offering guidance on working with children with special needs or behavioral issues, including classroom behavior management techniques. Maintain detailed documentation of student interactions, incidents, and support plans while adhering to confidentiality standards. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in educational or social service settings; background in social work or child welfare is highly valued. Familiarity with special education practices and behavioral health principles applicable to school environments. Strong skills in conflict management, cultural diversity counseling, and working effectively with students from varied backgrounds. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, community agencies, and students themselves. Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism, and discretion.

From $18.50 per hour
