Job Description
Job Summary Atlas Construction is seeking an experienced Foreman Carpenter to lead residential construction projects from start to finish. This role combines hands-on carpentry with field leadership, overseeing crews on new construction, full remodels, and additions. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can manage people, schedules, and quality while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise carpentry crews on new builds, remodels, and additions
- Perform both rough and finish carpentry as needed
- Oversee framing (walls, floors, roofs) and structural work
- Coordinate daily job site activities and workflow
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and meet deadlines
- Maintain quality control to meet Atlas Construction standards
- Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients as needed
- Train and mentor crew members and apprentices
- Ensure compliance with Hawaii building codes, OSHA, and safety standards
- Manage materials, tools, and job site organization
- Troubleshoot issues and solve problems in the field Requirements
- 5+ years of residential carpentry experience
- Proven experience in a lead or foreman role
- Strong background in new construction and full remodels
- Ability to read plans and manage projects independently
- Leadership and crew management skills
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites on Oahu
- Strong work ethic, communication skills, and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with home additions and structural framing
- Formal carpentry training or apprenticeship completion
- Knowledge of Hawaii building codes and inspection processes

Pay:
